$1.6 Billion in CHIPS Act Funding to Create Thousands of Jobs Headed to Texas Instruments, Ted Cruz Voted No

AUSTIN, Texas – Thanks to the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, the Commerce Department has awarded $1.6 billion to Dallas-based Texas Instruments to construct three new plants, including two in Sherman.

This investment will “create more than 2,000 manufacturing jobs.” Rep. Colin Allred championed this bipartisan legislation, as did Sen. John Cornyn.

Ted Cruz voted against it.

From securing our border, to lowering drug costs, to investing in Texas jobs and infrastructure: Ted Cruz has proven time and time again that he cares about his own self-serving politics and he’ll never be part of addressing the problems Texans actually care about.
