On Social Security Anniversary, Remember: Ted Cruz Wants to Privatize Social Security, Called It a “Ponzi Scheme” and Will Raise the Retirement Age
AUSTIN, Texas – 89 years ago today the Social Security Act was signed into law.
And Ted “Cruz wants to... privatize Social Security, which he has called a ‘Ponzi scheme.’”
When asked point blank if Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, Cruz responded “There’s no doubt that’s what it is” – a claim that PolitiFact rated FALSE two days later.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Cruz has supported the “fundamental reform” of “raising the retirement age.”
…and a “benefit cut” for Social Security recipients.
We can’t trust Cruz to protect the benefits Texans have paid into and earned.
