ICYMI: GOP Rep. Keith Self “Met With a Wave of Backlash” at Collin County Town Hall
Collin County, TEXAS – Why is House GOP campaign chief Rich Hudson telling Republicans “No more town halls?” Rep. Keith Self (TX-3) might know.
At a “tense town hall” Saturday of “more than 300 people,” “frustrated constituents repeatedly interrupted him with chants of ‘vote you out!’”
Self “was met with a wave of backlash from furious constituents who appeared to be upset.” We don’t blame them – Texas Republicans are more focused on scoring political points than addressing the needs of working families across our state.
Collin County Democratic Party Chair Jeremy Sutka Statement:
“Texans don't like being messed with, we respect honesty and integrity, and that's exactly what Congressman Self is undermining, aligning himself with the dangerous policy decisions of Elon Musk and Donald Trump. America was founded on the promise of freedom of speech. It is an American tradition to hold our elected officials accountable – I’m proud to see our community standing up and making their voices heard in defense of our values.”
