AUSTIN, Texas – We’re two weeks out from the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade – an outcome Ted Cruz said he prayed for and called “nothing short of a massive victory.”

Cruz’s support for ending Roe opened the door to Texas’ extreme abortion ban. Here are the facts on his anti-choice record:

• Cruz called the radical Texas law that outlawed nearly all abortion in-state “perfectly reasonable.”

• Cruz believes all abortion should be banned, even in the case of rape and incest.

• Cruz “threw his support behind” the concept of fetal “personhood” which would ban abortion from conception, and threaten IVF and forms of contraception across the country.

• Cruz repeatedly voted for national abortion bans in the Senate, and introduced them himself.
