In a race where she stood against a shady billionaire-backed Republican Party that represents corruption and dysfunction at every level of government – Kristen ran on a platform that puts working families first. While Republicans are focused on culture wars and pushing extremist policies like school vouchers that will defund public education, Kristen stands as a champion for policies that address the real-life issues facing everyday Texans in the rural parts of our state, like improving broadband infrastructure and access to healthcare. Kristen’s deep roots in the district, and her record of service to her community as a minister and a former council member are unmatched.
