TOMORROW: Texas Democrats to Hold Press Call with Border Community Leaders

AUSTIN, Texas – On Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 1:00PM CST/2:00PM EST, Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa will host a press conference with border community leaders to address Greg Abbott and Congressional Republicans' disastrous border policy.

From using violent rhetoric to describe border security tactics, implementing deadly entrapments in the Rio Grande, creating new laws that encourage the mass imprisonment of Black and Brown migrants, and physically blocking federal officials from saving the lives of migrant children – it is abundantly clear that the Texas government does not possess the humanity nor the moral authority to properly keep Texas safe.
