AUSTIN, Texas – Ted Cruz said he doesn’t “think what Washington needs is more compromise,” and throughout his tenure in the Senate, he’s stayed true to that philosophy.

According to the Lugar Center – McCourt School of Public Policy’s Bipartisan Index for 2023, Cruz ranks as one of the ten least bipartisan senators in the country.

Texas Democratic Party spokesperson Ryan Radulovacki issued the following statement:

“This respected nonpartisan report found what Texans have long known: Ted Cruz’s record shows he will always put self-interest and political games over what is best for the people of the state.  Texas deserves a senator who works across the aisle to get real results.”
