Notice of State Board of Education District 13 Executive Committee Meeting

I, Gilberto Hinojosa, Chair of the Texas Democratic Party & State Democratic Executive Committee, hereby call, and give notice of, a meeting of the District Executive Committee for State Board of Education, District no. 13 to be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at IBEW Local Union 20, 684 W Tarrant Rd, #684, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, commencing at 10:00 o’clock a.m., for the purposes of nominating a replacement candidate to fill the vacancy, unexpired term, in the nomination of the Democratic Party for the position of Member of the Texas State Board of Education, District no. 13, on the November 5, 2024 General Election Ballot, such vacancy having been created by the August 1, 2024, resignation of Aicha Davis, the holder for that position, elected to such at the November 8, 2022, General Election.

Dallas County Chair Kardal Coleman shall serve as temporary chair of, and preside over, said meeting of the District Executive Committee, of which all currently serving Democratic precinct chairs and county chairs who reside within the territorial boundaries of the State Board of Education, District 13 of Texas, in Tarrant and Dallas County, are hereby given notice.
