Ted Cruz Admits 2017 Tax Handout to Big Corporations and the Ultra-Wealthy Was “A Very Stupid Messaging Mistake”

AUSTIN, Texas – On a panel at the RNC, Ted Cruz just admitted that the GOP’s 2017 tax giveaway overwhelmingly favored the wealthy and big corporations, not middle-class Texas families. Cruz admitted that it “didn’t cut everyone’s taxes,” but that’s not what he regrets.

He only cares about the politics of it, saying it was a “very stupid messaging mistake,” not the fact that many working Texans didn’t see any savings.
