Texas Democratic Party Congratulates New DNC Chair Ken Martin

AUSTIN, Texas –Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa issued the following statement:

“Today, Democratic National Committee members voted to elect Minnesota Democratic Farm & Labor Party Chair Ken Martin to lead Democratic Party into the next generation.

“Chairman Martin knows how to win in competitive states. He will take this model and use it to help democrats win in states like Texas. He has made it clear: Democrats must fight back against the robber barons taking over our country, and under his leadership, we will.

“I want to express our deepest gratitude to former Chairman Jamie Harrison for his steadfast dedication to helping Democrats win across the country. He directed a record amount of money to Texas to help in our fight against Ted Cruz. We thank him for his hard work and service to the Democratic Party. Now we stand in solidarity with Chairman Martin in our fight against the billionaires and look forward to working with him to return the United States back to working everyday Americans.”
