Two Weeks From Dobbs Anniversary, Which Ted Cruz Called A “Massive Victory”
AUSTIN, Texas – We’re two weeks out from the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade – an outcome Ted Cruz said he prayed for and called “nothing short of a massive victory.”
Cruz’s support for ending Roe opened the door to Texas’ extreme abortion ban. Here are the facts on his anti-choice record:
Cruz called the radical Texas law that outlawed nearly all abortion in-state “perfectly reasonable.”
Cruz believes all abortion should be banned, even in the case of rape and incest.
Cruz “threw his support behind” the concept of fetal “personhood” which would ban abortion from conception, and threaten IVF and forms of contraception across the country.
Cruz repeatedly voted for national abortion bans in the Senate, and introduced them himself.
