Ted Cruz Ranked One of the Most Partisan Senators in Modern American History

“In assessing 250 members of the Senate since 1993… Cruz as the 245th most bipartisan”

AUSTIN, Texas – As Ted Cruz’s bipartisan rebrand continues to be examined and dismissed, the Houston Chronicle’s Texas Take reported last night that Ted Cruz has been ranked one of the most partisan U.S. senators in the modern history of America.

“Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and an independent research group called The Lugar Center, created a non-partisan ranking of how often each member of Congress works across party lines.”

In assessing 250 members of the Senate since 1993, that group rated Cruz as the 245th most bipartisan. That put him just ahead of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.”

“Why is this all so important to Cruz…” because “public polling shows Cruz has particularly high negative job approval ratings among independent voters… in a worse position with those voters than he was in 2018.”

Ted Cruz is one of the most partisan senators of the 21st century.
